okay, guys. here is the deal. i’m going to repost this because there are a lot more people on to see it, which i’m hoping actually happens. so as i said earlier, there is a brave little boy who lives in my town. is name is nate elfrink and he is seven years old. he’s been suffering with a cancerous tumor in his brain for six years; the majority of his life. it especially hits close to home because it’s a friend of mine’s younger half brother and i can only imagine what she’s going through. i recieved an email last night regarding little nate’s condition.

NATE & TOD RETURNED TO MEMPHIS THIS WEEK TO DO PRELIMINARY TESTING AND START HIS NEW CHEMO PROTOCOL. UNFORTUNATELY, THE MRI RESULTS SHOW THAT THE TUMOR HAS GROWN TREMENDOUSLY. THIS NEW CHEMO WILL SHRINK THE TUMOR, BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH. THE TUMOR IS GROWING TOO QUICKLY. THEREFORE, TOD & NATE RETURNED HOME LAST NIGHT, AND WE WILL NOT PERSUE ANY FURTHER TREATMENT. HE HAS BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH. WE PLAN ON HAVING THE MERRIEST CHRISTMAS EVER, AND CHERISHING EACH AND EVERY DAY THAT WE HAVE OUR WONDERFUL, BRAVE, HANDSOME SON. I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO HAVE KEPT NATE IN YOUR PRAYERS, AND ASK THAT YOU CONTINUE TO DO SO. HE HAS BEEN, AND CONTINUES TO BE, A GREAT INSPIRATION TO MANY. HE IS DOING GOOD, OUTSIDE OF THE VOMITING AND HEADACHES, AND IS ANXIOUS TO GET STARTED ON HIS CHRISTMAS COOKIE LIST. HE HAS MANY THAT HE WANTS TO MAKE COOKIES FOR, AND HAND DELIVER THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON. TOD & I WILL MEET WITH CHILDREN’S HOSPICE NEXT WEEK TO HELP US WITH ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS THAT NATE MAY HAVE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, AS WELL AS BE THERE FOR NATE WHEN THE TIME COMES…..
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING THROUGH HIS LITTLE MIND AT THIS POINT, HE WILL TELL ME WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, GIVE THEM A BIG HUG THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE THEM, AND I WILL UPDATE ON A REGULAR BASIS AS TO HOW NATE IS DOING. AND REMEMBER, EACH DAY IS A GIFT.GOD BLESS

for christmas, the make a wish foundation decided to grant nate any christmas wish he wanted. he could meet whoever he wanted, go to any place in the world or do anything his heart desired. he declined all of the above with one request. he wanted one million christmas cards for christmas. i’ve started asking anyone and everyone i know to make or buy cards to send to this brave, incredible little boy and i really wanted to come to you guys because i know that you all have hearts and that if you can help, you will. so i have the address for you and i would encourage any and all of you to make this little boy’s dream come true. it could very well be the last one he ever gets to have. so get the word out, guys! please reblog this so as many people as possible can see it and send nate a piece of their hearts!
